What are the categories of aluminum wire?
Aluminum wire is a commonly used metal conductive wire. According to different standards and uses, it can be divided into many different categories. The main categories are as follows:
1. According to the material: it can be divided into pure aluminum wire and alloy aluminum wire. Pure aluminum wire is mainly made of pure aluminum, with good conductivity and oxidation resistance, suitable for general power transmission and distribution systems. Alloy aluminum wire is made by alloying aluminum alloy with other metal elements, with better strength and corrosion resistance, suitable for some special industrial uses.
2. According to conductivity: it can be divided into ordinary aluminum wire and high conductivity aluminum wire. Ordinary aluminum wire has general conductivity and is suitable for general household and commercial power systems. High conductivity aluminum wire has a larger conductive cross-section and lower resistance due to the optimization of material and process parameters, which is suitable for large-scale power transmission systems and ultra-high voltage transmission lines.
3. According to use: it can be divided into power aluminum wire and signal aluminum wire. Power aluminum wire is mainly used for power transmission and distribution equipment such as transmission lines, transformers, and distribution systems. Generally, it requires good conductivity, corrosion resistance, and strong tensile strength. Signal aluminum wire is mainly used for electronic communication equipment, data transmission lines, etc., and generally requires stable signal transmission and good anti-interference.
4. According to specifications: it can be divided into aluminum wires of different specifications and models. Common specifications include 10mm, 16mm, 25mm, 35mm and other different cross-sectional areas to meet the power transmission needs of different purposes.
5. According to surface treatment: It can be divided into bare aluminum wire and insulated aluminum wire. There is no insulating layer on the surface of bare aluminum wire, which is generally used for conduction in indoor air insulation environment. Insulated aluminum wire is covered with a layer of insulating material on the surface of the wire, which is suitable for environments that require protection and insulation.
In general, aluminum wire can be subdivided according to different standards and needs in specific classification to meet different power transmission and distribution requirements. Different classifications have their own unique advantages and scope of application.
